Our Artists
              Joshua Pace, wunderkind, is a rock guitarist with the band  
              Water and Power out of Chicago. Pace, an Arts and Media  
              Management graduate from Columbia College Chicago, is also
              the creator and owner of Histortees:  a company that designs t-
             shirts around historical accounts and personal anecdotes.  
             This stylish young man was recently (4/08) featured in CS  
             Magazine in their Men of Style edition. For more information on

             Jay Groom, poet, singer/songwriter has had his poetry  
              published in numerous publications and is the author of
The Path  
              (see Family page) which he wrote in honor of those with  
              dementia.  His musical talents come naturally as he comes from
              a family steeped in the country music industry.  This Texas  
              native gives much of his time to help develop programs for those  
              individuals with Alzheimer's and dementia.

            Andrea Collins (Dee) is a self-taught artist with a passion for  
             art work. Her specialty is murals, air brush painting, and tattoos.
             This formal employee of The Villa Maria she has been responsible
             for the beautiful artwork found on the walls at The Villa. Dee  
             comes from a family of caregivers and musicians, and at a early
             age began her training in piano and singing.

         Martin HorningProfessor of Economics, Mount Union  
             College in Alliance.  “I teach economics, but my passion is    
             music. I work with special needs children at South Gate school in  
             Canton, and I formed the
Villa Maria Traveling Band with  
             several of the residents at The Villa Maria where we visit and  
             sing to the residents at nursing homes in the area.

PR Miller -Have you met the Grizzled Wizard? You're about to.  
             PR Miller is an industrial artist devoted to the concept of "waste not."        
             Passionate about recycling and an advocate for the environment,
             Miller displays his artwork in and around Akron, Ohio. Mr. Miller is the
             current "Artist in Resident" at the acclaimed Stan Hywett Estate in Akron.

Bernie Griffin, painter, musician and employee at the Villa Maria.  
Bryan Van Camp Has lived in Alliance for 32 years and started drawing
at the age of 5.  He has been a professional tattoo artist for 13 years and
worked in shops for the past 8 years.  He studied under the famous tattoo
artist Big Jeff.  Bryan  in owner of the tattoo shop

Lynn Groom, pianist, singer, songwriter and cousin of co-owner Jay
Groom.  Lynn has been a professional musician since the age of 15 and   
has had his songs recorded by Leon Russell, Tanya Tucker and Glen
Campbell and was twice voted the Best Keyboard Player in Texas by the
Texas Music Association.  Lynn has done studio work for many top
artists and his piano playing can be found on the albums of Freddie
Fender, B.J. Thomas, Dr. John, Delbert McClinton, Doug Kershaw and
Ronnie Milsap.  An incredable vocalist and entertainer.
